Baldemar has over a decade of government and legal experience stretching from his early career at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) to his tenure in Governor Pat Quinn’s Office as an Assistant Chief of Staff for Legislative and partner in an ever-evolving unique law firm. His experience ranges from overseeing policy matters for several large government agencies in Illinois, specifically Central Management Services, the Department of Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Department of Labor, and the Illinois Department of Human Rights. While in government, Baldemar assisted in passing several key pieces of legislation that continue to impact people’s lives significantly.

In private practice for a decade, Baldemar has assisted several small to large-scale companies in successfully navigating the Illinois procurement process. Although not easy at times, Baldemar has helped Fortune 100 companies pass complex legislation and successfully defeat adverse legislation. Baldemar isn’t afraid of hard work and has built his career on figuring out the best strategies for his clients to succeed in Illinois.
Outside of his day-to-day business activities, Baldemar is a former City Councilman in one of Illinois’ largest cities, a member of the Illinois Bar Association, a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a board member of Farmworker Landscaper Advocacy Project, and a member of the Illinois Latino Caucus Foundation Board. Baldemar is a practicing attorney, husband, and father of two lovely girls.
